Co-hosted by China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC), United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and All China Lawyers Association (ACLA), “China Arbitration Summit 2026 & China High-level Dialogue on Maritime and Commercial Arbitration” will be held on 18 September 2026 at China World Summit Wing in Beijing, China.
As the flagship event of China Arbitration Week, the Summit will focus on the theme of “International Arbitration in a Changing World”. In the context of profound global transformations unseen in a century and global economic and trade patterns experiencing major shifts, and to mark the 60th anniversary of UNCITRAL and the 70th anniversary of CIETAC in 2026, this high-level gathering will bring together leading figures from the global arbitration and legal communities to engage in in-depth discussions across three core dimensions: strengthening global integration of the rule of law, promoting innovation while preserving the fundamental values of arbitration, and empowering industrial development through forward-looking approaches.
The Summit aims to foster consensus within the global arbitration community, enhance mutual trust and cooperation in international rule of law, and promote the sustainable development and continuous upgrading of international arbitration. It seeks to dismantle legal and regulatory barriers in global economic and trade activities, leverage arbitration’s unique value to refine global commercial rules, establish a fair and equitable international economic order, and boost the high-quality global economic growth.
The Summit will be a one-day event. Simultaneous interpretation between English and Chinese will be provided. The Summit will be livestreamed across the world, with its main venue in Beijing, China.
We cordially invite representatives from arbitral institutions worldwide, arbitrators, lawyers, legal counsels, scholars, and other professionals to participate in the Summit and the serial events of the China Arbitration Week!
